Our Story: From Scribewell to Practismart

Practismart’s roots trace back to Scribewell, a medical transcription company founded in 2007 that serviced doctors’ offices, clinics, and hospitals across the United States. Over the years, Scribewell earned a reputation for excellence by establishing reliable systems for document handling, internal workflows, delegation, staff training and advancement, onboarding, quality control, and staff reward and retention. These foundational practices ensured Scribewell’s success and also laid the groundwork for Practismart to thrive.

Scribewell successfully adopted new technologies while meeting the stringent security and privacy demands of HIPAA legislation introduced in 1996, as well as the provisions of the HITECH Act of 2009. This strong foundation in compliance and security became a cornerstone for Practismart’s operations.
