Founded in 2006 by Rewa Lazatin to meet the growing demand for high-quality medical transcription, PractiSmart has become a leading pioneer in the Industry. PractiSmart purchased Smart Transcriptions, a Los Angeles based transcription company. Currently, we serve clients across the country, including hospitals, private physicians’ practices, specialty practices and Medical Technology Service Organizations (MTSOs). We provide flexible, scalable customized solutions to meet the unique needs of clients ranging from small practices to major hospitals. PractiSmart is headquartered in Nevada, with offices in California and planned expansion to key metropolitan areas across the United States. Our company values the privacy rights of all patients and strictly adheres to ethical business practices and the HIPAA law, to guarantee that we give our clients maximum security for all records. All PractiSmart facilities are secure, with data back-up and file transfers that are HL-7 and HIPAA compliant.

In 2011, six PractiSmart key employees were trained by a Workers’ Compensation lawyer from Southern California for encoding, labeling, and attaching files to different case management systems; drafting creditor letters and mileage reimbursement letters; manual computation of rating strings in accordance with the AMA Guides 5th Edition; and summary of medical reports. PractiSmart keeps updated through certified online resources such as Med-Legal and Work Comp Central.

Since 2011, as PractiSmart’s clientele grew, its Workers’ Compensation specialties also expanded. These include but not limited to filing applications for adjudication of claim; preparing opening letters; requesting subpoena records; preparing hearing notices; invoice extraction and filing; extraction of mail, among others.

In 2015, two bankruptcy attorneys from Las Vegas went to PractiSmart’s office in the Philippines to train us for filing petitions and statement of intentions for individuals filing for bankruptcy; as well as drafting schedules of expenses.

In 2016, an immigration lawyer from Las Vegas trained Practismart experts for preparation of immigration law forms and petitions.

In 2017, two renowned lawyers from Southern California came to PractiSmart’s office in the Philippines multiple times to conduct one on one training to further enhance our team’s knowledge and understanding of California Labor Code, Workers’ Compensation, the AMA Guides 5th Edition and Personal Injury laws.

In 2018, PractiSmart, a proud associate member of the California Applicant Attorney Association, joined its first summer convention in Anaheim, California to introduce its services to the member merchants and lawyers of the association.
